Preliminary Procedure

Remove the propeller shaft. Refer to Propeller Shaft Replacement.

Propeller Shaft Flange Nut

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Procedure

Use DT-49048 fixture to hold the flange when tightening.

Tighten
100 N·m(74 lb ft)

Differential Clutch Seal

Procedure

1. Remove the sealing with a screwdriver.
2. Install the new sealing with DT-49065 installer .
3. Check lubricant level. Refer to Rear Axle Lubricant Level Inspection.
