Preliminary Procedure

1. Remove the transmission control lever boot. Refer to Transmission Control Lever Boot Replacement.
2. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement.

Inner Shift Cable Clamping Assembly (Qty: 2)

Procedure

1. Release selector cable from clamping piece.
2. Remove the  2 shift cables from the counterhold.

Procedure

Open clamping piece using a small screwdriver. Open only as far as the notch, opening any further (overstretching) may destroy clamping piece.

Adjustment Position

Procedure

1. Pull reverse gear pawl upwards.
2. Compress lugs using pliers until locking block jumps downwards.
3. Secure shift lever in neutral position 1st/2nd gear level with locking block at bracket.

Shift Actuation

Procedure

1. Place Transmission in Neutral.
2. Pull Shift Actuation Upwards (Arrow).
3. Secure shift actuation with DT-49544 adjuster , must engage noticeably.
4. To remove DT-49544 adjusting tool , pull shift actuation slightly upwards (arrow).

Inner Shift Cable Clamping Assembly (Qty: 2)

Procedure

1. Lock selector connection clamping piece by compressing. DO NOT move shift lever.
2. Check for easy shifting of gears.
