The inflatable restraint and sensing diagnostic (SDM) is programmed to monitor the number of impact sensors and deployment loops connected. When the ignition is turned ON, the SDM evaluates the number of deployment loops and impact sensors and if a mismatch is detected between the number that the SDM expects and the actual number present, DTC B1019 will set.
Ignition voltage is between 9-16 V.
• | The incorrect SDM is installed on the vehicle. |
• | The incorrect software or calibrations have been flashed into the SDM. |
The SDM requests the instrument panel cluster to illuminate the AIR BAG warning indicator.
• | The condition for setting the DTC is no longer present. |
• | A history DTC will clear once 100 malfunction-free ignition cycles have occurred. |
