Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the case extension housing. Refer to Case Extension Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 10554 Size: SH
  2. Remove the thrust bearing.
  3. Remove the thrust washer.

    4. Object Number: 10555 Size: SH
  4. Remove the final drive.
  5. Disassemble the final drive. Refer to Transmission/Transaxle/Transfer Case Unit Repair Manual.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 10555 Size: SH
  1. Assemble the final driver. Refer to Transmission/Transaxle/Transfer Case Unit Repair Manual.
  2. Install the final drive.

    3. Object Number: 10554 Size: SH
  3. Install the thrust washer.
  4. Install the thrust bearing.
  5. Install the extension housing. Refer to Case Extension Replacement .
  6. Measure the end play. Refer to Transmission/Transaxle/Transfer Case Unit Repair Manual.
  7. Adjust the fluid level.
  8. Inspect for proper completion of the repairs.
  9. Inspect for fluid leaks.
