Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner duct. Refer to Engine Controls.
  2. Remove the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable from the automatic transaxle range selector lever. Refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Replacement .
  3. Remove the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable from the bracket. Refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 161085  Size: SH
  5. Remove the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable bracket bolts.
  6. Remove the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 161085  Size: SH
  1. Install the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable bracket.
  2. Install the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable bracket bolts.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable bracket bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft). Refer to

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable to the bracket. Refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Replacement .
  5. Install the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable to the automatic transaxle range selector lever. Refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Replacement .
  6. Adjust the automatic transaxle range selector lever cable if necessary. Refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Adjustment .
  7. Install the air cleaner duct. Refer to Engine Controls.
