Removal Procedure
  1. Remove and reposition the underhood electrical center in order to provide access for removal of the battery insulator.
  2. Remove the front end sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement in Body Front End.
  3. Remove the battery ground (negative) cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  4. Remove the battery positive cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Cable Replacement .

    5. Object Number: 260579 Size: SH
  5. Remove the battery insulator from the battery.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 260579 Size: SH
  1. Install the battery insulator to the battery.
  2. Install the battery positive cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Cable Replacement .
  3. Install the battery ground (negative) cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  4. Install the front end sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement in Body Front End.
  5. Install the underhood electrical center.
