Inspect the tires for the proper inflation pressure. Refer to Tire Inflation Pressure Specifications in Maintenance and Lubrication.

Is the tire inflation pressure correct?

Inflate the tires to the correct pressure.

  1. Inspect the vehicle trim height. Refer to Trim Height Inspection .
  2. Repair as necessary.

Inspect the following suspension components for wear or damage.

    • Springs
    • Struts
    • Shock Absorbers

Refer to Suspension Strut and Shock Absorber Testing - On Vehicle .

Are any of the components the worn or damaged?

Go to Step 6

Replace all of the worn or damaged components.

    • For any strut component replacement, refer to Strut, Strut Component, and Spring Replacement in Front Suspension.
    • For shock absorber replacement, refer to Shock Absorber Replacement in Rear Suspension.
    • For spring replacement, refer to Coil Spring Replacement in Rear Suspension.

Has the repair been performed?

  1. Inspect the automatic level control system, if equipped. Refer to Automatic Level Control System Operation Check in Automatic Level Control.
  2. Repair as necessary.
