Automatic Level Control Relay Replacement VIN U Standard Wheel Base

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the ELC fuse.
  2. Remove the inflator air valve opening cover by pulling the lever inboard.
  3. Remove the inflator control panel retainers.

  4. Object Number: 381401  Size: SH
  5. Remove the bolts/screws from the inflation timer relay.

  6. Object Number: 380850  Size: SH
  7. Remove the electrical connector from the inflation timer relay.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 380850  Size: SH
  1. Install the electrical connector to the inflation timer relay.

  2. Object Number: 381401  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the bolts/screws to the inflator relay.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the inflator relay bolts/screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the inflator control panel retainers.
  6. Install the inflator air valve opening cover by pushing the lever outboard.
  7. Install the ELC fuse.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the ELC fuse.
  2. Remove the inflator air valve opening cover by pulling the lever inboard.
  3. Remove the inflator control panel retainers.

  4. Object Number: 380477  Size: SH
  5. Remove the bolts/screws from the inflation timer relay.

  6. Object Number: 380392  Size: SH
  7. Remove the electrical connector from the inflation timer relay.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the electrical connector to the inflation timer relay.

  2. Object Number: 380477  Size: SH

  7. Remove the electrical connector from the inflation timer relay.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the electrical connector to the inflation timer relay.

  2. Object Number: 380858  Size: SH
