Inflator Solenoid Replacement VIN U Standard Wheel Base
Removal Procedure
- Remove the ELC fuse.
- Remove the inflator air valve opening cover by pulling the lever
inboard.
- Remove the inflator control panel.
- Remove the inflator solenoid
electrical connector.
- Remove the air lines from the inflator solenoid.
- Remove the inflator solenoid
fill valve cap.
- Remove the inflator solenoid fill valve nut.
- Remove the inflator solenoid nut.
- Remove the inflator solenoid.
- Remove the inflator solenoid fill valve washer.
Installation Procedure
- Install the inflator solenoid
fill valve washer.
- Install the inflator solenoid.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the inflator
solenoid nut.
Tighten
Tighten the inflator solenoid nut to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
- Install the inflator solenoid fill valve nut.
Tighten
Tighten the inflator solenoid fill valve nut to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
- Install the inflator solenoid fill valve cap.
- Install the air lines
to the inflator solenoid.
- Install the inflator solenoid electrical connector.
- Install the inflator control panel.
- Install the inflator air valve opening cover by pushing the lever
outboard.
- Install the ELC fuse.
Inflator Solenoid Replacement VIN X EWB with C34 Rear A/C
Removal Procedure
- Remove the ELC fuse.
- Remove the inflator air valve opening cover by pulling the lever
inboard.
- Remove the inflator control panel.
- Remove the inflator solenoid
electrical connector.
- Remove the air lines from the inflator solenoid.
- Remove the inflator solenoid
fill valve cap.
- Remove the inflator solenoid fill valve nut.
- Remove the inflator solenoid nut.
- Remove the inflator solenoid.
- Remove the inflator solenoid fill valve washer.

Tighten
Tighten the inflator solenoid nut to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
- Install the inflator solenoid fill valve nut.
Tighten
Tighten the inflator solenoid fill valve nut to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
- Install the air lines
to the inflator solenoid.
- Install the inflator solenoid electrical connector.
- Install the inflator control panel.
- Install the inflator air valve opening cover by pushing the lever
outboard.
- Install the ELC fuse.

washer over the fill valve.
- Install the inflator solenoid.
