Setting the Park Brake

To set the park brake perform the following steps:

  1. Use your right foot in order to hold the primary brake pedal down.
  2. Use your left foot in order to press the park brake pedal down. If the ignition is on, the park brake warning lamp will illuminate.

Releasing the Park Brake

To release the park brake perform the following steps:

  1. Use your right foot in order to hold the primary brake pedal down.
  2. Use your left foot in order to press the park brake pedal down. You will need to apply approximately the same amount of pressure to the park brake pedal as you did when you set the park brake.
  3. Release the park brake pedal. The pedal should return to it's full release (up) position. If the ignition is on, the park brake warning lamp will turn off.
