| Check the vehicle for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC).

- Disconnect the Electronic Brake Traction Control Module (EBTCM)
connector C1.
- Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
Is the LOW TRACTION indicator on?

- Using a J 39200
DMM, check for a short to ground in circuit 832.
- If OK, replace the instrument cluster. Refer to
Instrument Cluster Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gauges
and Console.
Has the repair been made and the system rechecked?

- Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
- Connect a fused (3-amp) jumper between the EBTCM harness
connector C1 terminal A6 and ground.
Is the LOW TRACTION indicator on?

| A fault exists in the EBTCM or the ABS. Refer to

for diagnosis.
Has the repair been made and the system rechecked?

- Check for a poor connection or an open in circuit 832 between
the instrument cluster connector C1 terminal F and the EBTCM
harness connector C1 terminal A6.
- Check the Low Traction Indicator bulb. If OK, replace the instrument
cluster. Refer to
Instrument Cluster Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
