Removal Procedure
- Remove the three screws from the washer solvent container.
- Rotate the washer solvent container toward the front of the vehicle
to position it out of the way.
- Remove the crank arm from
the wiper motor. Refer to
Wiper Motor Crank Arm Replacement
.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper motor.
- Remove the three screws and the wiper motor from the wiper drive
system module.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the wiper motor
on the wiper drive system module with three screws.
Tighten
Tighten the three screws to 7 N·m (62 lb in).
- Connect the electrical connector to the wiper motor.
- Install the crank arm on the wiper motor. Refer to
Wiper Motor Crank Arm Replacement
.
- Rotate the washer solvent container into the installation position.
- Install the three screws.
Tighten
Tighten the three screws to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
- Operate the wipers and check for proper operation.
