With the ignition switch in ACCY or RUN, voltage is applied to terminal E of the wiper motor assembly and to terminal 5 of the wiper/washer switch assembly through CKT 393.
When the wiper switch is set to DELAY, battery voltage is applied to terminal D of the wiper motor assembly through CKT 391. This voltage is used by the wiper motor assembly as a signal to start operating with a fixed 5 second delay between sweeps. This will continue until the wiper switch is set to OFF, at which time the wiper will park. The power to operate the wiper motor is supplied to the wiper motor assembly at terminal E. The ground is connected at terminal A through CKT 450.
