Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear seat. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 318505  Size: SH
  3. Unhook J and arrow retainer at the bottom edge of the seat cushion.
  4. Move seat cushion and pad away to expose seat riser bolts.
  5. Remove the seat riser bolts.
  6. Remove the seat riser from the seat cushion.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 318505  Size: SH

    Important: Ensure that the seat adjusters are in phase with one another before attaching the seat riser. Move both of the left and right adjusters to the most rearward position prior to the riser installation. Failure to keep the adjusters in phase may result in poor adjuster travel.

  1. Install the seat riser to the seat cushion.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the seat riser bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the seat riser bolts.

    • For bucket seats only, tighten the seat riser bolts to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).
    • For split benches only, tighten the seat riser bolts to 32 N·m (24 lb ft).
  5. Attach seat cushion and pad to seat riser with J and arrow retainers.
  6. Install the rear seat. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement .
