Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 343926  Size: SH
  1. Remove the screws from the sunshade mounting plate.
  2. Pull downwards in order to disengage the sunshade from the roof.
  3. Pull down the sunshade in order to access the electrical connectors, if equipped with a vanity mirror.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connections fromt eh sunshade, if equipped with a vanity mirror.
  5. Important: Do not rotate the sunshade on shaft. Doing so may cause the sunshade to become mis-aligned and not properly retained.

  6. Remove the sunshade from the roof.

Installation Procedure

    Important: If a new sunshade is being installed, align the sunshade in the same position as the old sunshade. If the sunshade is aligned incorrectly, the sunshade will not be properly retained.

  1. Install the sunshade to the roof.
  2. Connect the electrical connectors to the sunshade, if equipped with a vanity mirror.
  3. Push upwards in order to engage the sunshade to the roof.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the screw to the sunshade mounting plate.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
