WIDE OPEN THROT./A/C CUT-OUT SWITCH INTERFERENCE/1983 STE

SOME 1983 6000 STE VEHICLES BUILD BEFORE APRIL 15, 1983 MAY HAVE AN INTERFERENCE CONDITION BETWEEN THE LEFT-HAND HUSH PANEL AND THE WIDE OPEN THROTTLE COMPRESSOR CUT-OUT SWITCH. THE INTERFERENCE CONDITION PROHIBITS THE CYCLING OF THE SWITCH. THE CUSTOMER COMMENT COULD BE "LACK OF WIDE OPEN THROTTLE PERFORMANCE" ---TO CORRECT THE CONDITION, REMOVE THE LEFT SIDE HUSH PANEL. REMOVE THE INSULATION MATERIAL IN THE AREA WHERE HOLE IS TO BE MADE. USING A 1-3/8" HOLE SAW, REMOVE AREA SHOWN IN ILLUSTRATION. SEE ILLUSTRATION FOR WARRANTY INFORMATION
