PARK BRAKE EQUALIZER NOISE INSTALL INSULATOR AS OUTLINED

1982-87 6000 MODELS

Some vehicles may develop a rattle at the park brake equalizer located on the forward side of the rear axle. This rattle can be eliminatd by the installation of an insulator (see Illustration). To install the insulator, loosen the park brake adjuster until the front cable can be removed from the cable connector (located at the end of the right hand cable) . Remove the front cable from the equalizer and install the insulator.

Reinstall the front cable and adjust the park brake per the Service Manual.
