INOP 'DOOR AJAR' WARNING LIGHT NEW 'DOOR AJAR' SWITCH

6000 STE

CONDITION:

---------- Intermittent or inoperative "Door Ajar" light on Driver Information Center (D.I.C.).

CAUSE:

------ Door ajar switch electrical contacts do not close or open properly.

CORRECTION:

-----------

1. Depress plunger and observe D.I.C. to verify condition.

2. Remove any inoperative door ajar switch or switches and disconnect wires.

3. Replace the inoperative switch(es) with new switch, part number 20555200.

4. Reconnect wires and install new switch into door pillar.

5. Open and close doors to verify proper operation.
