REVISION TO PONTIAC DEALER SERVICE BULLETINS-ALL 1984

The purpose of this bulletin is to advise of major changes affecting the 1984 model year dealer service bulletin format.

The changes are:

1. Only one type bulletin to be issued. The title is "Pontiac Dealer Service Bulletin". The Technical and information distinction in the bulletin title will be eliminated.

2. A sequential numbering system will be used for each section.

Example: 84 - 3 - 1 Year Section Sequence Number

3. The classification will be consistent with the Service Manual as used on the tabs in your 1984 bulletin binder.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
