REAR 1/4 TRIM FINISH PANEL CORRECTION FOR LOOSE PANEL

VEHICLES AFFECTED: All 1984 'A' 19 and 27 Styles

If a loose rear quarter trim finishing panel to fastener is encountered, the condition may be repaired by installing the fastener to the trim panel using an adhesive backed body side moulding foam tape (3M-06380 or equivalent) followed by the installation of cloth-backed waterproof body tape as shown in Figure 1. The cloth-backed body tape is used to provide adequate retention of the fastener to the trim panel and prevent peel load on the tape.
