STALL, SAGS, HESITATION PROM REPLACEMENT

1987 6000 MODELS WITH LR8 2.5L ENGINE (VIN CODE R) MD9 (THM 125C) AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, AND F17 2.84 TRANSAXLE . Some 1987 6000 models equipped with 2.5L LR8 engines, automatic transmissions, and 2.84 transaxle may exhibit driveability conditions such as idle shake, sag on a light throttle application from a standing start, when engine is at operating temperature, and a stall on the same light throttle application if done immediately after a cold start at ambient temperatures 80 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit.

After published diagnostic procedures have been performed and the conditions have not been improved, a new service PROM, P/N 16072828 should be installed. . Use applicable labor time for PROM replacement.
