WHEEL COVERS LOOSE OR FALL OFF

1987 6000 AND 6000 LE MODELS

Some 1987 Pontiac 6000 and 6000 LE models equipped with tri-port wheel covers (RPO-PO2) may experience missing and/or loose wheel covers. Current production covers are equipped with new retention clips.

Loose or missing wheel covers should be repaired as follows:

MISSING COVERS - Replace missing covers and replace clips on remaining covers with new retention clips. (3 per cover) *

LOOSE COVER - If a customer has one loose cover, replace the clips on all 4 covers. * COVERS IN DEALER STOCK - Clips on all covers in dealer parts inventory MUST be replaced. *

* Refer to illustration for installation procedure.

Covers on vehicles produced after July 1, 1987 will have the new clips. All service parts in stock at GMSPO have the new clips.

Warranty Information

Use existing labor operation and time for warranty purposes.
