Some 1985-87 'A' cars equipped with either a 2.8L or 3.8L MPFI V-9 engine may exhibit a no start condition when parked in a nose down atitude of approximately 15 degrees with less than a quarter of a tank of fuel.
This condition may be caused by air/fuel vapor ingestion throuch the vapor rejection port of the fuel pump resulting "in fuel starvation.
Vehicles exhibiting this condition may be repaired by installation of a intank fuel pump that incorporates usage of a vapor rejection port with an umbrella check valve.
