SQUEAK NOISE AT DRIVERS SEAT TO FLOOR ATTACHMENT

SQUEAK AT DRIVERS SEAT BRACKET TO FLOOR PAN WITH 45/55 SEAT OR BUCKET STYLES

MODELS AFFECTED 1988 6000 WITH BUCKET OR 45/55 SEAT OPTION --------------- The 1988 6000 floor pan squeak noise can be eliminated by making clearance between the two possible contact points of the rear right hand bracket and floor pan of the drivers seat.

1. Remove the driver seat assembly as described in the service manual (Section 9A).

2. Remove rear seat cushion assembly and left hand side sill plate moldings to remove carpet.

3. Lift the carpet up to get access to the rear right hand seat bracket.

4. Use appropriate tool to bend burr at the trim angle to give the clearance between the seat bracket and the floor pan.(See Illustration).
