TOWING INFORMATION FOR ALL WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE

Models Affected: 1988 PONTIAC 6000 S.T.E. ALL WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES

This bulletin supersedes bulletin 88-10-14 which did not have art work attached and was issued for the wrong section. Please discard bulletin 88-10-14 issued 2188.

SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE

FRONT OF VEHICLE:

NOTICE: Do not tow Pontiac 6000 S.T.E. (AWD) All Wheel Drive vehicles with sling-type equipment.

Use wheel lift equipment with dollies under the rear wheels or flat bed equipment.

Use safety chains and wheel straps.

CAUTION:

Place gear selector in neutral with ignition key in the off position while towing to avoid vehicle damage.

REAR OF VEHICLE:

NOTICE: Do not tow with sling type equipment.

Rear bumper valance will be damaged.

Use wheel lift or flat bed equipment.

Use safety chains and wheel straps.

CAUTION:

Place gear selector in neutral with ignition key in the off position while towing to avoid vehicle damage.
