The following revisions should be noted in the subject Shop Manuals: Section 6A2, 1.8 Liter Diesel Engine and Section 6C3, Diesel Fuel Injection.
Page 6A2-13 Hot Plug Replacement specification should be 1000-1250 kg (2200-2760 lbs.)
Page 6A2-26 General Data and specifications
(1) Fuel injection timing B.T.D.C. (static) specification should be 18 DEG.
(2) Idle Speed specification should be A/T-725 M/T-625.
Page 6C3-5, Figures 6C3-12, 13 should be revised as shown in Figures 6C3-12A and 6C3-13A below.
Please make note of these changes to your copy of the 1982, 1983 and 1984 Pontiac Acadian and 1000 Shop Manuals and the Chevette Shop Manuals.
