Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement Aztek

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the knee bolster panel. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement .
  2. Remove the front floor console trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Trim Plate Replacement .
  3. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 630754  Size: SH
  5. Remove the 3 screws from the I/P cluster trim plate at the assist handle.
  6. Pull out the I/P cluster trim plate in order to release from the retainers.

  7. Object Number: 634152  Size: SH
  8. From the back side disconnect the driver information center (DIC) from the I/P cluster trim plate panel.
  9. Loosen the steering column bracket and lower the steering column.
  10. Remove the I/P cluster trim plate.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 630754  Size: SH
  1. Align the I/P cluster trim plate to the instrument panel retainers.

  2. Object Number: 634152  Size: SH
  3. Connect the DIC to the I/P cluster trim plate panel.
  4. Install the I/P cluster trim plate.
  5. Press into place until fully seated.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the 3 screws to the I/P cluster trim plate at the assist handle.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  8. Install the I/P accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement .
  9. Install the front floor console trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Trim Plate Replacement .
  10. Install the knee bolster panel . Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement .
  11. Tighten the bolts which secure the steering column bracket.
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
