1	Did you perform the IPC Diagnostic System Check?	Go to Step 2	Go to Diagnostic System Check - Instrument Cluster
2	Install scan tool. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. With a scan tool select PCM data 2 list. Does the Engine Oil Level parameter indicate OK?	Go to Step 3	Go to Step 4
3	Is the low engine oil indicator illuminated?	Go to Step 10	Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems
4	Turn OFF the ignition. Disconnect the PCM connector C2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. Connect a test lamp between the signal circuit of the engine oil level indicator switch at the PCM and battery positive voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems. Does the test lamp illuminate?	Go to Step 7	Go to Step 5
5	Test the signal circuit of the engine oil level indicator switch for an open or for a short to voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 12	Go to Step 6
6	Test the ground of the engine oil level indicator switch for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 12	Go to Step 8
7	Inspect for poor connections at the PCM. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 12	Go to Step 9
8	Inspect for poor connections at the engine oil pressure switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 12	Go to Step 11
9	Important: Perform the programming procedure for the replacement PCM. Replace the PCM. Refer to Powertrain Control Module Replacement in Engine Controls. Did you complete the replacement?	Go to Step 12	--
