When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

SERVICE VME

The production and service front brake pads were changed to incorporate a chamfered lining material design. Under certain driving conditions, the previously used non-chamfered lining could develop a noise described as a squeal or groan noise caused by a coupling frequency at the rotor interface. Production changed in November 2003 to the chamfered design and the service parts are now available. The new service part number is 89047824 and replaces the non-chamfered part 10434258. All warehouse stock of the old part was removed from inventory. Sufficient quantities of the chamfered linings are available for dealer orders now.
