Removal Procedure
- Remove the endgate plate.

- Remove the rear seat belt. Refer to
Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement
in Seat Belts.
- Remove the bolts from the rear quarter lower trim panel at the
cargo tie down locations.
- Remove the rear quarter
lower trim panel from the rear quarter inner panel by pulling the rear quarter
lower trim panel to release the push-in retainers.
- Remove the rear quarter lower trim panel from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Align the rear quarter
lower trim panel push-in retainers to the rear quarter inner panel.
Important: Position the seat belt through the slotted opening between the upper
and lower trim panel.
- Install the rear quarter lower trim panel by applying pressure to secure
at all push-in retainers locations.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the bolts to the
rear quarter lower trim panel at the cargo tie down locations.
Tighten
Tighten the rear quarter lower trim panel bolts to 6 N·m
(53 lb in).
- Install the rear seat belt. Refer to

in Seat
Belts.
- Install the endgate sill plate. Refer to
Rear Floor Rear Trim Plate Replacement
.
