Some customers may comment that their vehicle's engine is unable to be properly serviced or tested using non-TECH2® (Generic) service or test equipment. When requested using non-TECH2® (Generic) service or test equipment, these vehicles are unable to properly communicate diagnostic freeze frame information.
Reprogram to the latest calibration available through TIS.
The new calibration should be from TIS satellite data update version 1.0 for 2004 or later, available starting January 2004. As always, make sure your TECH2® is updated with the latest software version.
For vehicles repaired under the applicable 8 year 80,000 mile (130,000 kilometres) emission controller warranty, use:
