Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2002 🢒 Aztek - FWD 🢒 Brakes 🢒 Hydraulic Brakes 🢒 Parking Brake Indicator Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the left-side instrument panel insulator. Refer to Cowl Side Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the left-side door sill plate. Refer to Front Side Door Sill Plate Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 181465 Size: SH
  3. Remove the park brake indicator switch electrical connector.
  4. Remove the park brake indicator switch screw.
  5. Remove the parking brake indicator switch.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the park brake indicator switch.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the park brake indicator switch screw.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the park brake indicator switch screw to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  3. Install the park brake indicator switch electrical connector.
  4. Install the left-side door sill plate. Refer to Front Side Door Sill Plate Replacement .
  5. Install the left-side instrument panel insulator. Refer to Cowl Side Trim Panel Replacement .
