Front Fog Lamp Replacement Aztek

Removal Procedure

    Caution: Halogen bulbs contain gas under pressure. Handling a bulb improperly could cause it to shatter into flying glass fragments. To help avoid personal injury:

       • Turn off the lamp switch and allow the bulb to cool before changing the bulb.
       • Leave the lamp switch OFF until the bulb change is complete.
       • Always wear eye protection when changing a halogen bulb.
       • Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass.
       • Keep dirt and moisture off the bulb.
       • Properly dispose of the used bulb.
       • Keep halogen bulbs out of the reach of children.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fog lamp.
  3. Remove the nuts from the fog lamp.

  4. Object Number: 624034  Size: SH
  5. Remove the fog lamp from the front bumper fascia.

  6. Object Number: 624038  Size: SH
  7. Remove the fog lamp bulb from the fog lamp, turning counterclockwise, if required.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 624038  Size: SH
  1. Install the fog lamp bulb to the fog lamp, turning clockwise, if required.

  2. Object Number: 624034  Size: SH
  3. Install the fog lamp to the front bumper fascia.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the fog lamp nuts to the fog lamp.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the fog lamp nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  7. Connect the electrical connector to the fog lamp.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Check and adjust the fog lamp aim as necessary. Refer to Fog Lamp Aiming .

  2. Remove the fog lamp socket from the fog lamp by rotating counterclockwise.
  3. Disconnect the fog lamp electrical connector from the fog lamp socket, if required.

  5. Remove the fog lamp nuts  (2) from the fog lamp.

  6. Object Number: 624034  Size: SH
  7. Remove the fog lamp from the front bumper fascia.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the fog lamp to the front bumper fascia.

  2. Object Number: 761261  Size: SH

  3. Install the fog lamp nuts (2) to the fog lamp.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the fog lamp nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the fog lamp electrical connector to the fog lamp socket, if removed.
  6. Install the fog lamp socket (3) to the fog lamp by rotating clockwise.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Check and adjust the fog lamp aim as necessary. Refer to Fog Lamp Aiming .
