Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement Split Bench

1. Remove the split bench seat. Refer to Rear 50-50 Split Seat Replacement .
2. Remove the back trim panel from the rear seat. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Trim Panel Replacement .
3. Remove the outer trim panel from the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .



4. Remove the lower J-hook retainer and pull back the cushion cover to expose the recliner hinge and the center pivot point.



5. Remove the upper bolts from the seat back recliner hinge.



6. Remove the seat back from the inner pivot point by lifting up the outer end of the seat back. Use a quick upward twist to disengage the pivot stud from the pivot socket.

1. Place the rear seat back pivot stud to the rear seat pivot point.
2. Install the seat back to the pivot point. Press the seat back into the socket until fully seated.




Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

3. Install the bolts to the seat back recliner hinges.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).




4. Install the lower J-hook retainer.
5. Install the trim panel to the seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Trim Panel Replacement .
6. Install the outer trim panel to the seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
7. Inspect the seat back for proper operation.
8. Install the split bench seat. Refer to Rear 50-50 Split Seat Replacement .

Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement Bucket

1. Remove the rear bucket seat. Refer to Rear Bucket Seat Replacement .
2. Remove the outer trim panel from the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
3. Remove the inner trim panel from the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Inner Panel Replacement .



4. Remove the bolts from the seat back recliner hinges.



5. Remove the seat back from the seat cushion.

1. Place the rear seat back to the rear seat cushion frame.
