EARLY 1987 BONNEVILLE MODELS (INTO JANUARY PRODUCTION)
If a comment on firm or hard front seat cushion is received, the following procedure can be used to soften either driver or passenger side:
- See Illustrations.
- Determine if correction has already been done, reach under seat to check if center element (spring) is present. If so, continue to next step.
- Remove front seat.
- Detrim seat bottom, front, and sides. It is not necessary to remove adjusters.
- Remove two (2) hog rings from rear of seat trim, to gain access to rear of element.
- Remove front and rear clips from center element.
- Open attaching tabs on seat frame, at ends of element.
- Remove element only from side which condition exists.
- Retrim seat.
- Reinstall seat.
