---------- Some 1992 Pontiac or Oldsmobile H cars may exhibit poor appearance of the back window moulding due to shrinkage.
----------- To correct this condition, the following steps must be followed.
1. Obtain rear window reveal moulding, part number 25607457 (Oldsmobile) or 25607456 (Pontiac).
2. Remove the moulding assembly. Assure the moulding retainer is clean and dry.
3. Apply Loctite 380 (Black Max) or Loctite 410 or equivalent in a thin bead around the entire Retainer. See Figure 1. Assure the area where the moulding is bonded together in the lower corners is securely cemented to the moulding retainer.
4. To install the new moulding, align the centerline notch at the centre of the lower portion of the moulding. Insert the moulding into the retainer both directions from the centerline. Assure the moulding is not being stretched during installation as excess moulding at the top centre area will result.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
