BUZZ/RATTLE NOISE IN I/P AREA (INSTALL NEW BRACKET)

SUBJECT: BUZZ OR RATTLE NOISE IN INSTRUMENT PANEL AREA (INSTALL NEW BRACKET FOR LOW FREQUENCY AUDIO AMPLIFIER)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1992 "H" MODELS

APPLICATION:

----------- 1992 Pontiac Bonneville with audio system option U85.

CONDITION:

--------- A buzz or rattle noise in the instrument panel area of 1992 Bonneville's with audio system option U85.

CAUSE:

----- The locking tabs on the bracket that mounts the low frequency audio amplifier vibrate, causing the noise.

CORRECTION:

---------- Replace the low frequency audio amplifier bracket with part number 25614645. The locking tabs have been redesigned to eliminate this condition.
