SOME OWNERS OF VEHICLES WITHIN THE ABOVE LISTED VIN BREAKPOINTS MAY HAVE MISSING WHEEL CAPS.
ON VEHICLES BUILT WITH THE ABOVE BREAKPOINTS, THE CAP RETENTION FINGERS DO NOT ENGAGE COMPLETELY. THERE WAS A RUNNING CHANGE MADE TO THE WHEEL THAT ALLOWS THE RETENTION FINGERS TO GRIP THE WHEEL PROPERLY. EARLY DESIGN WHEELS CAN BE IDENTIFIED BY MEASURING THE WHEEL CENTER CAP AREA AS DESCRIBED IN THE ILLUSTRATION.
1. CHECK THE DIMENSION SHOWN IN THE ILLUSTRATION. IF THE MEASUREMENT IS 11.2MM OR GREATER, REPLACE THE WHEEL CAPS WITH SERVICE KIT, P/N 25623872. THE FOUR CAPS IN THE SERVICE KIT HAVE RETENTION FINGERS 1.5MM LONGER.
REMOVAL OF THE WHEELS IS NOT NECESSARY TO REPLACE ALL THE REMAINING CAPS. DRIVE A SHARP PUNCH INTO THE CAP AND PRY OUT.
PARTS ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FROM GMSPO.
FOR VEHICLES REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY, USE:
