Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the PCM. Refer to Powertrain Control Module Replacement/Programming .
  2. (VIN K Only) Remove the EVAP canister vent valve. Refer to Evaporative Emission Vent Valve Replacement .
  3. Remove the PCM bracket attaching hardware (4, 5).
  4. Remove the PCM bracket.

  6. Remove the EVAP canister vent valve bracket.
  7. Remove the purge, fuel vapor, and vent lines from the EVAP canister.
  8. Remove the EVAP canister from vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 28142  Size: SH
  1. Install the EVAP canister to the vehcle.
  2. Connect the EVAP vent hose and tighten the hose clamp.
  3. Connect the purge and vapor lines to the EVAP canister. Make sure the connections are correct.
  4. Install the vent valve bracket
  5. Install the PCM bracket.
  6. Install the EVAP canister vent valve. Refer to Evaporative Emission Vent Valve Replacement .
  7. Install the two PCM bracket bolts and the two PCM bracket retainers.
  8. Install the PCM. Refer to Powertrain Control Module Replacement/Programming .
