Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 49594 Size: SH
  1. Remove the fuel injection sight shield.

    2. Object Number: 60069 Size: SH
  2. Remove the manifold vacuum lines at the throttle body.
  3. Remove the TP sensor (1) electrical connector.
  4. Remove the two TP sensor attaching screws.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 60069 Size: SH
  1. With the throttle valve in the normal closed idle position, install the TP sensor (1) on the throttle body assembly.
  2. Install the two TP sensor attaching screws, using a thread-locking compound on the screws. Loctite 262®, GM Part No. 1052624, or equivalent should be used.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the attaching screws to 3 N·m (27 in lb).

  3. Install the TP sensor electrical connector.
  4. Install the manifold vacuum lines to the throttle body.

    5. Object Number: 49594 Size: SH
  5. Install the fuel injection sight shield.

    6. Tighten
    (VIN 1 Only) Tighten the fuel injection sight shield to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
