Rear Bumper Impact Bar Replacement Buick

1. Remove the rear bumper. Refer to Rear Bumper Replacement .



2. Remove the push-in retainers (1) that connect the upper fascia support (2) to the rear impact bar (3).
3. Remove the nuts (5) that retain the fascia stud plates (4).
4. Remove the fascia stud plates (4).

1. Install the fascia stud plates (4).
2. Install the nuts that retain the fascia stud plates (4).
3. Install the push-in retainers (1) in order to connect the upper fascia support (2) to the rear impact bar (3).
4. Install the rear bumper. Refer to Rear Bumper Replacement .

Rear Bumper Impact Bar Replacement Oldsmobile Regency

1. Remove the rear bumper. Refer to Rear Bumper Replacement .



2. Remove the 2 push-in retainers from the license plate bracket that connect the rear bumper fascia to the impact bar (3).
3. Remove the 6 lower push-in retainers (1) that connect the rear bumper fascia to the impact bar .



4. Remove the rear bumper fascia (7) from the impact bar .

1. Install the rear bumper fascia (7) onto the impact bar .



2. Install the 6 lower push-in retainers (1) in order to connect the rear bumper fascia to the impact bar (3).
3. Install the 2 push-in retainers onto the license plate bracket in order to connect the rear bumper fascia to the impact bar (3).
4. Install the rear bumper. Refer to Rear Bumper Replacement .

Rear Bumper Impact Bar Replacement Pontiac

1. Remove the bumper assembly. Refer to Rear Bumper Replacement .



2. Remove the following components from the impact bar:

•	The fascia (2)

•	The fascia foam (1)




3. Remove the push-in retainers (2) from the filler panels (3).
4. Remove the filler panels (3).
5. Remove the stud plate retainers (5).
6. Remove the stud plates (4).

1. Install the stud plates (4).
2. Install the stud plate retainers (5).
3. Install the filler panels (3).
4. Install the push-in retainers (2) to the filler panels (3).



5. Install the following components to the impact bar:

•	The fascia (2)

•	The fascia foam (1)

6. Install the bumper assembly. Refer to Rear Bumper Replacement .

Rear Bumper Impact Bar Replacement Oldsmobile 88

1. Remove the bumper assembly. Refer to Rear Bumper Replacement .



2. Remove the 2 push-in retainers from the license plate bracket that connect the rear bumper fascia to the impact bar (3).
3. Remove the 6 lower push-in retainers (1) that connect the rear bumper fascia to the impact bar (3).



4. Remove the rear bumper fascia (2) from the impact bar .

1. Install the rear bumper fascia (2) onto the impact bar .



2. Install the 6 lower push-in retainers (1) in order to connect the rear bumper fascia to the impact bar (3).
3. Install the 2 push-in retainers from the license plate bracket in order to connect the rear bumper fascia onto the impact bar (3).
4. Install the bumper assembly. Refer to Rear Bumper Replacement .
