Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement Buick
Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
- Remove the screws that
retain the lower air deflector (4) to the front bumper fascia (1).
- Remove the lower air deflector (4).
Installation Procedure
- Install the lower air
deflector (4).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the fasteners (5) in
order to retain the lower air deflector (4) to the front bumper fascia.
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 2.8 N·m (25 lb in).
- Lower the vehicle.

Removal Procedure

- Remove the bolts (4)
that attach the lower air deflector (3) to the fascia supports (2,6).
- Remove the bolts (4) that attach the lower air deflector
to the front bumper fascia (1).
Installation Procedure
- Install the bolts (4)
in order to connect the lower air deflector (3) to the front bumper
fascia (1).
- Install the bolts (4) in order to attach the lower
air deflector to the fascia supports (2,6).
- Lower the vehicle.
