Did the customer concern occur during A/C mode operation?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 5

IMPORTANT: Outside air temperature must be above 16°C (60°F).

1. Start the engine.
2. Select VENT mode
3. Fully open all panel outlets.
4. Select A/C mode.
5. Adjust temperature to COOL.
6. Select RECIRC mode.
7. Set blower speed to maximum.

Are right and left center panel outlet temperatures similar?

System OK

Go to Step 4

Perform the refrigerant system performance test. Refer to System Performance Test .

Are low and high side pressures within specification?

Go to Step 6

Go to VDOT Air Conditioning (A/C) System Diagnosis

1. Ensure that the engine temperature is cool.
2. Check the coolant level in the radiator and the reservoir.

Is the coolant system full?

Go to Step 6

Go to Heating Insufficient

1. turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
2. Use the heater and A/C control to adjust the temperature from COOL to WARM.

Do both driver and passenger air mix doors operate together through the full travel range?

System OK

Go to Step 7

Inspect the air mix actuator and air mix doors for binding or mechanical failure.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 8

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
