Did the turn lamps operate properly?

Go to Turn Signal Lamps and Indicators Inoperative - One Side

  1. Disconnect the instrument panel cluster (IPC) connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the inoperative turn signal input circuit at the IPC connector and a good ground.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  4. Move the turn signal switch to the inoperative turn position.

Does the test lamp turn ON and OFF with the turn signal lamps?

Repair the open in turn signal indicator input circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Inspect for poor connections at the IPC. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Replace the IPC. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
