Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the windshield defroster grille. Refer to Defroster Grille Replacement .
  2. Remove the instrument panel trim plate bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement .
  3. Remove the instrument panel upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 450383 Size: SH
  4. Remove the fasteners (1) from the head-up display module (2) to the instrument panel.
  5. Lift the head-up display module (2) from the instrument panel.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector (3).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 450383 Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connector (3).
  2. Install the head-up display module (2) into the instrument panel with the clip firmly snapped into the retaining bracket.

    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the fasteners (1) retaining the head-up display module to the instrument panel.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the windshield defroster grille. Refer to Defroster Grille Replacement .
  5. Install the instrument panel upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement .
  6. Install the instrument panel trim plate bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement .
