Check the engine oil level.

Is the engine oil level at the full mark on the dipstick?

  1. Fill the engine oil level to the full mark on the dip stick.
  2. Start the engine and observe the engine oil pressure gauge.

Is the engine oil pressure gauge operating in the normal range (above the red zone)?

--

System OK

Go to Step 3

Did you perform the Instrument Panel Cluster Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Start the engine.
  3. With a scan tool, observe the oil pressure data parameter in the PCM data list.

Does the scan tool indicate that the engine oil pressure is approximately the same as indicated on the oil pressure gauge?

Go to Step 5

Replace the instrument panel cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Did you complete the replacement?

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?
