The DIC displays the BATTERY SAVER ACTIVE message when the PCM sends a request. This message indicates a low voltage condition.
The DIC displays the BRAKE FLUID LOW message when the brake fluid switch is closed. The brake fluid switch is a discrete input to the cluster.
The DIC displays the CALIBRATE COMPASS message when the IPC determines the compass module is sending invalid messages.
The DIC displays the CHECK CHARGE SYSTEM message when the DIM or the PCM sends a request. The message indicates a pending charging system fault. The DIM or the PCM does not request a chime with this
The DIC displays the CHECK GAGES LOW FUEL message when the PCM sends a request. The message indicates a low fuel condition.
The DIC displays CHECK GAGES OIL PRESSURE message when the PCM sends a request. The message indicates a low oil pressure condition.
The DIC displays CHECK GAGES TEMPERATURE message when the PCM sends a request. The message indicates a high coolant temperature.
The DIC displays the CHECK GAGES VOLT message when the DIM or the PCM sends a request. The message indicates a pending charging system fault or a low voltage condition. The DIM or the PCM does not request a chime with this message.
The DIC displays the CHECK GAS CAP message when the PCM sends a request. The message indicates that a possible condition in the evaporative emissions system is present, or that the gas cap is not seated properly.
The DIC displays the CHECK TIRE PRESSURE message when the EBTCM sends a request. The message indicates that a low tire pressure condition exists. Acknowledgment of this message does not reset the tire pressure.
This message is displayed when one tire becomes at least 69 kPa (10 psi) lower or higher than the other 3 tires.
The DIC displays the DOOR AJAR message when the DDM sends a request. This message indicates that one or more of the four doors is open. If more than one door is open the condition is treated as one message.
The DIC displays the ENGINE HOT AC DISABLED message when the DIM sends a request. This message indicates that the engine coolant is hot and the AC is being disabled to prevent over heating.
The DIC displays the ENGINE OIL CHANGE NOW message when the PCM sends a request. This message indicates that the vehicle needs an oil change.
The DIC displays the ENGINE OIL CHANGE SOON message when the PCM sends a request. This message indicates that the vehicle needs an oil change.
The DIC displays the OIL LEVEL LOW message when the PCM sends a request. This message indicates that the oil level is below a pre-determined value.
The DIC displays the PARK BRAKE SET message when the park brake switch is closed. The park brake switch is a discrete input to the cluster.
The DIC displays the SERVICE AIRBAG message when the SDM sends a request. This message is displayed whenever the IPC detects a loss of communications with the SDM or when a system fault is detected.
This message is displayed when VSES faults are detected.
The DIC displays the SERVICE THEFT SYSTEM message when the VTD sends a request. The message indicates that there may be a problem with the theft system or a loss of SOH.
The DIC displays the SERVICE VEHICLE SOON message when the PCM sends a request. The message is displayed when the PCM detects a non-emissions failure. The message is also displayed when there is a loss of SOH.
This message is displayed when VSES has been active for at least 0.5 seconds.
The DIC display the STARTING DISABLED THEFT message when the VTD sends a request. The message indicates that there may have been a theft attempted and that starting is disabled.
The DIC displays the TRACTION ACTIVE message when the EBTCM sends a request. The message indicates that the traction control system is active.
The IPC determines if the vehicle is equipped with traction control. If the vehicle is not equipped with traction control, the DIC does not displayed the TRACTION ACTIVE message .
The DIC displays the TRUNK AJAR message when the RIM. The message indicates that the trunk hatch is open.
The TURN SIGNAL ON ? message indicates to the driver that either the left or right turn signal has been left on for more than 1.29 km (0.8 mile). The IPC evaluates the odometer input and the turn signal input in order to determine when the DIC displays this message. The IPC also requests a chime with this message.
The DIC displays the WASHER FLUID LOW message when the IPC (Up-level cluster only) sends a request. The message indicates that the washer fluid level is below a specified value. The sensor is a float switch to ground that provides an open circuit for normal fluid levels, or a ground for low fluid levels. When the sensor input changes from one state to the other state for a period of 30 seconds, the IPC changes the washer fluid requests to the DIC.
