Driver or Passenger Seat Cushion Frame Replacement uplevel

Caution: When you are performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring, you must disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System. Failure to follow the correct procedure could cause air bag deployment, personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs.

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
2. Remove the seat cushion. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Replacement .



3. Disconnect the heated seat cushion electrical connector.
4. Unclip the harnesses from the seat bottom.
5. Turn the seat cushion cover and remove the seat cover J retainers from the seat bottom.
6. Remove the power seat switch. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .
7. Remove the seat bottom retaining fasteners from the adjuster frame.



8. Remove the seat cushion cover (1) and pad (2). Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement .

1. Install the seat cushion cover (3) and pad (2). Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement .
2. Engage the rear seat bottom studs to the seat adjuster frame.
3. Lower the front of the seat bottom in order to install the power seat switch.
4. Reclip the wiring harnesses to the seat bottom.
5. Install the power seat switch assembly. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement
6. Engage the seat cover J retainers onto the adjuster frame.
7. Install the seat cushion. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Replacement .
8. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.

Driver or Passenger Seat Cushion Frame Replacement base

3. Disconnect the heated seat cushion electrical connector.
4. Unclip the harnesses from the seat bottom.
5. Turn the seat over and remove the seat cover J retainers from the seat bottom.
6. Remove the power seat switch. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .
7. Remove the seat bottom from the adjuster frame by pressing the front tabs together and lifting the front of bottom up and pulling forward in order to release the rear retainers.



8. Remove the seat cushion cover (1) and pad (2). Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement .

1. Install the seat cushion cover (1) and pad (2). Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement .
2. Engage the rear seat bottom studs to the seat adjuster frame.
3. Lower the front of the seat bottom in order to install the power seat switch.
4. Reclip the harnesses to the seat bottom.
5. Install the power seat switch assembly. Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement
6. Engage the seat cover J retainers (2) onto the adjuster frame.
7. Install the seat cushion. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Replacement .
8. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
