Some customers may comment on the following:
• | The vehicle is parked and locked and sits for a minimum of 3.5 minutes. Current draw on the battery is approximately 20 milliamperes. |
• | The Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) trunk unlock button is depressed and the trunk is opened and closed again within 10 seconds. |
• | The door panel backlighting for the power door locks, power windows, O/S mirror control, passenger temperature control, memory and heated seat switches remains on. Current draw on the battery is now approximately 720 milliamperes. |
• | The backlighting remains on until the RKE door lock or unlock button is activated. |
This high parasitic current draw on the battery may be due to a unique software issue within the Instrument Panel Module (IPM), also referred to as the HTR & A/C Programmer Assembly.
Modifications have been made to the IPM software.
