Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the left front tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  3. Remove the left inner splash shield. Refer to Wheelhouse Extension Replacement in Body Front End.
  4. Remove the left transaxle mount. Refer to Transmission Mount Replacement - Left Side .

  5. Object Number: 667205  Size: SH
  6. Remove the 4 bolts securing the left transaxle mount bracket (1) to the side cover.
  7. Remove the left transaxle mount bracket (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Apply thread lock compound GM P/N 12345493 or equivalent, to the 4 bolts that secure the left transaxle mount bracket to the case side cover.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the left transaxle mount bracket (1) to the case side cover.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the 4 left transaxle mount bracket bolts to 110 N·m (81 lb ft).

  5. Install the left transaxle mount. Refer to Transmission Mount Replacement - Left Side .
  6. Install left front splash shield. Refer to Wheelhouse Extension Replacement in Body Front End.
  7. Install the left front tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  8. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
